Walk On...

I’m off the bike for a while and have put on my walking shoes. Yesterday I walked 10 miles in about 3 hours as I am now in training for "the Breast Cancer 3-Day" in November in San Diego. It is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Participants walk 60 miles in three days; help raise millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs. I am excited to get this going although to be honest I am not looking forward to fundraising. It’s my biggest personal challenge to get outside of myself and out of my head and ask, ask, ask for the cause. I will be glad to get that going starting next week. Coleen Hunt and Linda Hone are doing the walk as well and we are looking forward to walking together and supporting each other. This is Coleen’s second 3-Day walk!

Other than that it has been a very busy summer with trips and BBQs, friends and family. Work has also been very busy too. Overall, it's been a fun and busy year.

If you would like to make a donation my 3-Day fundraising homepage is here:
