Places to Ice Skate in the Sacramento Area

I got up on these skates yesterday and this evening at Skatetown in Roseville. I went after work and was able to squeeze in about 30 minutes each time on the ice. I DID NOT FALL! Which is extra special as I'm not entirely sure how I would get back up. I see these little kids get up all the time but I'm sure it would be a bit more difficult for me. Skatetown is a very nice facility with two NHL sized rinks. After I left Skatetown I drove back down to Sacramento to check out Iceland which is off of Del Paso Blvd. The rink there was empty and I was told that open skating would start at 7pm. I didn't want to wait around and I'd had enough luck for one day. I will definitely go back to Iceland as it has a nice worn oldschool feel to it compared to Skatetown. My relationship with Skatetown is quite strong as well as I have enrolled in a 20 week "adult-mixed-learn-to-play-hockey" course. It meets Sunday evenings starting March 25. Cool! Click for open public skating sessions at Iceland and Skatetown.
